ABOUT
SEA Us Write & Design is one of the many SEA Us Fellowships– a 10 week long fellowship program for youth who are writers and artists and want to learn:

How to make a mini-book (aka zine)

Youth will learn to write / illustrate a story
-
Curate the story onto a storyboard
-
Handmake their own book
-

Create Products and be an Artist Entrepreneur!

Brainstorm, price, and craft!
-

Arts & Crafts Fair Showcase
-
Youth will host their own arts & crafts table to sell their created products and printed versions of their mini-book.

Youth are welcome to invite family and friends to celebrate their accomplishments and support their entrepreneurship journey!

Through the creative workshops, youth will meet with established SEA writers and artists who will share their journey, creative skills, and resources.
In addition, these workshops strive to strengthen youth as a SEA and creative individual through creative methods by providing a safe and supportive space, such as:

Building positive relationships

Exploring intersecting identities

Empowering voices

Fostering individual growth and success

Location of the program is in St. Paul, MN. Please ensure reliable transportation is accommodated. Location will be shared once youth has been selected.
WEEKLY CURRICULUM SUMMARY
HOW DO I KNOW THIS FELLOWSHIP IS BEST FOR ME?

Youth who are ages 9 - 14 are welcome to apply. Please ensure to sign up for the correct age group.

Youth who identify as Southeast Asian and/or multi-racial of Southeast Asian descent are welcome to apply.

We encourage everyone who loves and/or wants to explore writing and creative arts to apply. Please note that the sign up is first come, first serve. There is a limited classroom capacity of 8 students.
